Getting back to the mitten

My flight home to Michigan (from ATL) was a little eventful. In the morning, I had tried to get on a earlier flight (6:55PM) that day and no luck, I was unfortunately stuck with the flight at 9:40PM. But..... then I got a nice little phone call from Delta that I had been upgraded on the 6:55PM flight. I was super confused but then realized accidentally booked two flights that day, so oops! I was on the 6:55PM and that is all that mattered. Shocking, (not really), but my flight was delayed. The roads were terrible in Michigan at the time. My flight had landed, but my sister, mom, and cousin didn't get to the airport until about an hour after I landed. On the way home it wasn't much better, the roads were bad and we didn't get home until 4AM. Yikes, so I was travelling for 11.5 hours! Oh and we didnt have time to stop at Coney, so no Greek Salad for me:-(

In Christmas Eve day I had to finish some Christmas shopping and some wrapping (I know this is not surprising)

Our evening Christmas Eve plans changed a little when some of the family came down with the flu so we had to reschedule in January. Since Christmas Eve is my mom's birthday, we took her out to dinner. Then we went to the Church service at 11PM. The service was great and we sang my favorite Christmas song ("What Child is This?") so I was happy about that! Then we came home and called it a night b/c Santa was coming!!!!
